Sort of. At least everybody starts to look for and Dingan, and his sister started to talk. Although in the end of chapter 5 Jack the Quack came around and told something bad which makes her mother cry. However it sill gain some effects, not so many people call his dad ratter after the success. Also it influences other people and let more people knows who is Pobby and Dingan. Everything is going in a good way after this, beside Jack the Quaker comes again.
Ashmol's plan is successful for her little sister Kellyanne. She felt better and Ashmol says that she spoke like she never did before, because people were asking her questions about Pobbby and Dingan. So she liked that and in the book it says that Kellyanne went to bed more peacefully that night. In the end the plan didn't work out for the parents, because Jack The Quack came and told something to Ashmol's father and mother and then his mother started crying and his father got angry and hopeless.
At the last part of chapter 5, Ashmol said that his plan to make Kellyanne feel better had failed because of the notice by Jack the Quack. However, I think his plan is somewhat successful. Although Kellyanne started falling silent again after she whispered to Ashmol, she spoke for a long while when one boy asked about Pobby and Dingan, and this made their mum feel better. Moreover, she smiled weakly for twice time when they were going out to saw people searching for Pobby and Dingan. Undoubtedly, Ashmol’s plan made her feel better and kind of chuffed. In comparison, his plan did not work for his mum and dad, both of them had agony and negative emotions.
Ashmol's plan is not very successful. Ashmol wanted to get more people to find Pobby and Dingan together in order to make Kellyanne feel better, and make others to believe his dad was not ratting. However, although there were so many people began to find Kellyanne's imaginary friends, Her situation did not turn better, and she still need to go to the hospital. As for Rex, most people think he is the ratter now, and some of them even become rude to all the Williamsons. All in all, Ashmol's plan did make Kellyanne feel happier than before, but because Pobby and Dingan are still missing, and his father is still misunderstood by others, the result is not as good as he has planned.

Ashmols’s plan was working because when he went out on his bike he saw bunches of people looking for Pobby and Dingham under bushes and cars, and over fences. Then they began to call to Ashmol like he was a general and said, “We’re searching as much as we can!”
He's plan was successful, people were searching for pobby and dingan really hard. When he took his sister to see people finding them, his sister was feeling much better. Ashmol was working hard to end all this and get their families reputation back to normal.
The first part of plan had worked because some sort of general and shouted that they are searching for Pobby and Dingan as hard as they can (6 hours). It makes Kellyane talked as many that they heard after Pobby and Dingan disappeared. However at the end of chapter 5, his plan is totally failed, because she is very ill.
