  1. I think that the main character, Sookan, will stop studying a lot and start having a school life like Ellen. She might even doesn't study and start being relaxed and just have fun. In this chapter, she faints because she studies a lot. A lot of people starts warning her to decrease the amount of time she spends studying, since it starts to get dangerous for her.
I believe that after christmas break, she will be a relaxed student, since she is not allowed to take her books to Marci's home during the break.

  2. Base on the world the author created, I think at the end of this book, Sookan would find a more effective way to study and live. She studies too much now. When she studies in the bathroom at four in the morning, she is too tired, and collapsed on the floor. She not only sleeps for two day, but also misses her exam. I argue this might be a turning point for Sookan, for she might realize how much pressure she has put on herself. She can not live like this for the whole four years. Therefore, I believe that she would eventually find the balance between school work and personal time. Moreover, through the time Sookan spend with Ellen and Merci, she might finally does not feel lonely and being a outsider anymore. Time would make her get used to the life style in America.

  3. I think she will fight with her friends, because of the hard working on studying, pressure of her mother, and economical problem which means she has no pocket money, it may give stress to her. Due to these three things, she had lots of stress, but she didn’t talk this hard circumstances to any others, even Marci and her roommate. Therefore, they don’t know about her circumstances and they will say something really hurts to her, so she won’t talk with anyone, and just focusing on studying. However, somehow, her friends are going to know about her circumstances and apologize to her about their conversations, so they will be friend again, and Sookhan is not going to study as hard as now she did, but she will talk more with others and feel some free on her mind. I think like this way, the story is going.

  4. In my opinion, I think Sookan will used to her new life in America, and she will balance her studying and working. She is busy at first but as time passes, her life will become better and better, she will figure out how she can make her life balance, try to find some time spend with her friends. She will be able to find a way to enjoy her busy life, and she will make more friends either in her college or from the society. Her grade will also get better because her english will improve. I hope the story could go like this way.

  6. There's always a speaking of overdoing something can get a different result than what people expected, that's what is happening to Sookan. She uses too much energy on studying, maybe she does learn more, but the pressure on herself is killing her step by step. I think what will happen is that she just quit learning things and find a new way to live her life such as finding a great job or nice husband. Actually, there is a greater possibility that all of her friends will realize her troubles and combined together to help her, she can feel the care from others and become a better Sookan who fits in another culture much better than before, and really being an excellent international elite

  7. In my opinion, I think the main character, Sookan, wants to stop being serious about her grade and enjoying her college life. The reason is, in this chapter, she faints because of studying hard. I mean, she will study but not hard as she did in the first quarter. She might make a study group with her friends and study more effectively. In addition, her friends will help Sookan's parents to visit U.S.A. by collecting money from Finch College students, so Sookan will not get more pressure from her family.

    1. I my opinion, one of a possible ending is Sookan enjoying her life rather than to be pressured from her schedules and grades. In this chapter when Sookan faints it would be a turning point of the book's plot and Sookan's life. She would learn a lesson that academics are not everything of life and that she needs to enjoy life for herself, not for her grades. In the end she would Probably live a normal life like any other students in finch. Even in the future she might teach her kids to enjoy their daily lives.
